The Gemini really helped me to learn the tricks I had seen everyone doing over
the last 6 months, which I could not do using my Jam Session Millennium.
Thanks to Whaam kites Fly-in days, I've had the chance to try a number of trick kites
and the Benson Gemini is without doubt my favorite!

The most advanced freestyle kite from Tim Benson to date. Collaboration between Tim Benson and top UK trick Flier Andy Wardley has evolved a twin keeled kite which offers every trick in the book along with surprisingly good precision. This central channel improves tracking and general stability and the kite has twin stand-offs on each wing which create a flat channel running from the trailing edge to the nose. The curved leading edges and profile of the outer wings enhance rotational stability for tight spins and tricks. The bridle is Andy Wardley's most advanced masterwork yet, the Active crossover. In a fade position, the Gemini really excels and all this means that the Gemini will do multiple lazy Susan's, multiple backspins, easy flat spins and 540s and on top of that it will recover from almost any trick and come back for more. All the hard work of Benson and Wardley has proved so rewarding it is a pleasure to fly kite with its radical flight characteristics. This is the shape of things to come .... |
