Welcome to the home page of Whisky Bottle. Although this is not about Whiskies, it is my favorite tipple and how I got my call-sign. I was introduced to Citizen Band Radio in 1978, when the U.K. was secretly using imported FCC AM sets from American and operators always kept an eye over their shoulder for the Busby's. (Busby's being the nickname for Post office engineers in-charge of policing the radio spectrum at that time) When CB was legalized in the U.K. in late 1981, I stayed on AM for about another year. I could not afford to buy a new FM set on my pocket money and second-hand sets where just as expensive. Eventually I brought a second hand radio from someone who got bored with it all. On the next few pages are some articles, of which I am involved with in some way with links to my kite pages & other sites of interest. |
